After an Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights expose that was picked up by the popular website Raw Story, South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention organizers hastily removed all references to white nationalist leader, Roan Garcia-Quintana, from the coalition’s website.

However, repeated efforts to contact the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition to determine if the Council of Conservative Citizens board member had been officially barred from the event or merely deleted from the website have gone unanswered.

As of this evening, there have been no statements officially announcing his removal, nor any statements condemning Garcia-Quintana’s racist activism by the coalition or any of the political leaders scheduled to speak.

Here is a screenshot of the front page of the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition website from last night showing Mr. Garcia-Quintana as a featured speaker.

Despite the efforts of the group to sweep this incident under the rug, as of the evening of December 18, a photo of Mr. Garcia-Quintana is still accessible on the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition website here – http://southcarolinateapartycoalition.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Roan-Garcia-Quintana.jpg.

IREHR will be keeping tabs to see how this unfolds.
